So what exactly is the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask?

It’s like a traditional clay mask that works to draw out impurities and clarify your skin. But wait – there’s an added bonus! The carbonated bubbles “massage” your pores and help the clay go even deeper to remove black heads and dirt.

The key ingredients are clay, green tea extract, aloe vera leaf extract, matcha powder and charcoal powder.

How do you apply it?

You apply a thin (and I mean THIN) layer of this mask using the spatula. If you apply too much you will be foaming out of control in a matter of minutes and it will not be pleasant! A little goes a long way. If you try to use your finger tips you will end up with a globby mess that will get everywhere. Just use the tiny baby spatula, trust me.

As soon as you have applied it all over your face be sure to seal up the tub immediately to prevent it from starting to bubble as well. You’ll notice that mask starts working almost instantly! You leave it on for 3-5 minutes and then gently massage the bubbles into your skin for 1-2 minutes before washing it off with warm water.

How does it work?

Fast. Within 30 seconds of applying the mask my face was bubbling up a storm. It was a weird tickling sensation that wasn’t uncomfortable but wasn’t enjoyable either. If you apply the mask too close to your nostrils you’ll be breathing in bubbles by the 1 minute mark so beware!

I only left it on for about 3 minutes before massaging it into my skin and rinsing it off.  The tingling sensation was just too intense for me. In 3 short minutes the mask had bubbled so much it looked like my face was puffed up three times it’s normal size. It really freaked me out! You can see in the photo above how far my finger went into the bubbles.

As I said before, this would be a super fun mask to do with a friend because there’s just no way to do this mask without looking totally insane and hilarious.

Did you like it?

After all is said and done, this mask really did leave my pores clear and tightened. It worked like a vaccum to remove everything from my pores and my skin felt super clean and smooth afterwards. Normally with clay masks they get very stiff and hard as they dry, but not with this one! You get all the benefits of deep cleansing clay without having to wait for it to get dry and uncomfortable.

I would totally use this mask again, maybe once a month just for fun or when my skin really needs a deep cleanse.

Have you tried any bubble masks before? Is this something you would try? Let me know in the comments?
